- Employee Data Audit: Review and verify data for all newly hired and status-changed employees in the payroll system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Master Data Integrity: Conduct audits and maintain the integrity of employee master data, including payroll details, personal information, bank accounts, and financial dimensions.
- Compliance Management: Ensure payroll processing is in compliance with relevant labor laws, tax regulations, social security requirements, and company policies across each operating country. Implement any regulatory or policy changes in collaboration with technical, functional, People Operations, and Legal teams.
- Leave Administration: Accurately review and record leave transactions in the payroll system in collaboration with HR.
- End of Service (EOS): Maintain and update end-of-service records in line with company policies and legal regulations.
- Payroll Processing: Review and validate all payroll transactions (both regular and off-cycle) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Payments Management: Process off-cycle payroll payments through the banking channels in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Payroll Review: Audit payroll reports and sheets for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Bank Uploads: Upload finalized payroll files to the bank platform for payment processing, following required approvals.
- General Ledger Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll provision accounts monthly, identify discrepancies, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Posting and Reporting: Post monthly payroll and leave provision entries into the payroll module.
- MIS & Analytics: Prepare and provide monthly payroll reports, headcount movement analyses, and other necessary management information (MIS).
- System Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Dynamics for payroll processing, reporting, and reconciliation activities, ensuring system accuracy and compliance.
- Audit Readiness: Support internal and external payroll audits by ensuring complete documentation, transparency in processes, and timely responses to audit inquiries.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll processes and report suggestions to the supervisor for implementation.
What You Need to Be Successful
What Did We Order?
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of payroll experience, preferably within a multinational or regional organization.
- In-depth understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance laws in Egypt and/or MENA countries.
- Proficiency in ERP and payroll systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Workday).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
