As a Maintenance and Process Expert, you will bring strong technical expertise in equipment and processes to lead maintenance planning, process improvement, and implementation in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment. You will work closely with both technical and non-technical teams, contractors, and operations staff to ensure optimal equipment performance and process stability.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Partner with line leaders to achieve SQCDSM targets (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Morale) and maintain process stability.
- Participate in Daily Management System (DMS) meetings at shift and line levels.
- Own and optimize all centerline settings, equipment parameters, and Progressive Maintenance (PM) systems.
- Manage Repairs & Maintenance (R&M) budgets and track key performance indicators related to PM and line efficiency.
Maintenance & Technical Mastery
- Develop and execute preventive and time-based maintenance plans, ensuring consistent implementation across the team.
- Build the technical capabilities of maintenance technicians, spending at least 50% of your time on coaching and skill development.
- Lead PM initiatives at the line level and contribute to department-level PM improvements.
- Collaborate with the Asset and Reliability team to enhance system reliability, manage change initiatives, and localize spare parts.
- Conduct detailed breakdown analysis and implement cost-reduction strategies for R&M activities.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Participate in VSU (Vertical Start-Up) activities for new initiatives and assist in benchmarking and best-practice sharing.
- Act as the site technology owner, representing your department in regional and global technical forums.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for a specific equipment category and train others on PM-related topics.
Additional Responsibilities
- Oversee scheduled maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems.
- Support line efficiency improvement and cost-saving initiatives related to spare parts and supplies.
- Supervise and train other maintenance staff to ensure technical excellence.
- Ensure all activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and Workplace Safety standards.
- Participate in MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) projects and maintain proper calibration, documentation, and control records.
- Lead Progressive Maintenance (PM) activities as part of the IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma) program.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime, coordinating with relevant departments when necessary.
- Support shift teams in troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.
- Control maintenance budgets and spending within assigned areas.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical).
Experience:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in maintenance or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies and experience with ERP systems (preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical and analytical skills in equipment maintenance.
- Ability to coach, train, and develop technicians.
- Solid understanding of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and continuous improvement principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
