
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records for the branch, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and process monthly financial statements, reconciliation reports, and payroll.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring financial performance against budget.
- Ensure compliance with local legislation and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including daily bank reconciliations and deposits.
- Provide financial support and insights to branch management.
Requirements
To be successful in the role of Branch Accountant, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,
- 0-1 year of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or branch accounting environment.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
