Art Teacher


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Teaching and Lesson Planning: Deliver lessons using provided lesson plans, and may also be required to develop plans based on pacing charts, in order to teach using the SABIS® point system.
    • Exam Marking: Grade exams for the taught subjects following the department’s schedule and material.
    • Disciplinary and Performance Discussions: Address any student performance or disciplinary issues in collaboration with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) when necessary.
    • Classroom Management: Apply the SABIS® Point System to foster a productive and positive learning environment in the classroom.
    • Proctoring Exams: Supervise exams as required, ensuring that the testing environment is well-managed.
    • Student Support: Assist academically struggling students by providing guidance and motivation to help them improve and reach their potential.
    • External Exams Preparation: Aid in preparing for external exams by reviewing previous exams as part of the structured revision schedule (where applicable to certain grade levels).
    • Additional Duties: Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including testing students, substituting for absent teachers, managing student lunches and transportation, controlling traffic, and other duties as assigned by school management.
    • Student Life Activities: Help plan and participate in student life activities, such as art events, open houses, and physical education, in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC).
    • Training and Development: Attend required training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system and enhance student performance.
    • Additional Tasks: Take on other tasks or projects as assigned by school management.

    Ideal Requirements:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
    • Language Proficiency: Proficient in English.
    • Experience: At least 1 year of teaching experience.
    • Professional Conduct: Maintain high standards of professional behavior and ethical conduct.
    • Results-Driven: Able to deliver results and focus on continuous improvement.
    • Accountability: Take ownership of responsibilities and demonstrate accountability.
    • Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Must meet all employment criteria, including country and local education and certification requirements, reference checks, and criminal background checks.
