Branch Accountant


    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate financial records for the branch, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Prepare and process monthly financial statements, reconciliation reports, and payroll.
    • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring financial performance against budget.
    • Ensure compliance with local legislation and regulations, as well as company policies.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
    • Monitor and manage cash flow, including daily bank reconciliations and deposits.
    • Provide financial support and insights to branch management.

    Requirements

    To be successful in the role of Branch Accountant, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,
    • 0-1 year of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or branch accounting environment.
    • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
