
What You’ll Do
- Support stroke survivors as they transition from hospital to home, addressing their medical and logistical needs.
- Request, organize, and share medical records between treating clinicians.
- Coordinate with primary care providers (PCPs) for HMO patients to secure prescriptions.
- Work with prescribing physicians to provide insurers with updated records and prescriptions to extend IpsiHand rentals.
- Collaborate with the Neurolutions Market Access team by supplying medical records for insurance cases.
- Collect patient insurance details and obtain consent for Principal Illness Navigation billing.
- Assist providers with technical troubleshooting for video visits.
- Schedule onboarding Navigator visits for stroke survivors.
- Deliver technical and customer support to survivors and caregivers for the Kandu App, scheduling systems, and video visits—adapting support for patients with cognitive or emotional challenges.
- Identify service gaps and recommend creative solutions.
- Continuously refine workflows and information management processes.
- Collaborate constructively with team members, valuing diverse perspectives.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in a clinical or hospital role, working directly with patients, providers, or insurance companies.
- Expertise in patient support, including insurance verification, healthcare navigation, and coordinating provider referrals.
- Strong communication skills to support patients and caregivers via phone and video, tailoring explanations to different levels of health literacy.
- Proficiency with EMRs, scheduling platforms, and telehealth systems for visit management, documentation, and provider support.
- Experience providing technical assistance for telehealth tools, scheduling systems, and mobile apps, with sensitivity to patients with cognitive or physical impairments.
- Highly organized with attention to detail, skilled in managing medical records, insurance paperwork, and care coordination follow-up.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, payers, and teams in a remote environment.
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, and inclusion in patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with common challenges faced by stroke survivors and caregivers.
- Experience providing patient support remotely, including scheduling, follow-up, and documentation.
- Comfort using telehealth platforms, EMRs, and digital patient engagement tools.
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills for patient and provider needs.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote clinical team.
What We Offer
- Hourly Rate: $20–$25 per hour.
